Catholic and Spiritual Development
At HFSIX, Catholic and spiritual formation are central to our identity and mission as a faith community.
Our core purpose is not only to support students academically but also to nurture their spiritual growth, moral character, and commitment to social justice, inspired by the teachings of Christ.
Our Faith in Action group encourages students to live out their faith through service, compassion, and active engagement with the needs of others. Weekly liturgical assemblies provide opportunities for reflection, prayer, and a shared sense of community. We also have Student Liturgy Leaders, who help guide these gatherings and foster a deeper connection with our faith.
Additionally, our CAFOD Young Leaders participate in social justice initiatives and fundraising efforts that bring Catholic values to life, empowering students to be agents of positive change. Through these roles and our Acts of Service, students are invited to serve with humility, kindness, and a sense of responsibility to others.
At Holy Family, we believe that faith is best expressed through action. Our spiritual formation programs ensure that students leave not only as confident, capable individuals but also as compassionate leaders ready to make a meaningful difference in the world.
Our annual Interfaith Day provides Sixth Form students with a unique opportunity to engage with diverse religious communities. Students visit places of worship, including mosques, Hindu temples, synagogues, and churches of various denominations, such as the Church of England, to gain insight into the beliefs and practices of different faiths, including Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, and Creationism. This immersive experience encourages mutual respect, broadens cultural awareness, and fosters a deeper understanding of the rich tapestry of beliefs in our society.
