Holy Family Sixth Form – Best Ever A Level & BTEC Results 2017!

Congratulations to all students of Holy Family Sixth Form who received exam results today! Over 100 students received their A Level and Level 3 BTEC results.

Our A Level results this year are our best ever set of results, including 10 A * grades! Our A*-B grade percentage was 52%, with A*-C being 84% and A*-E 99%.

Headteacher Dr Andy Stone said, “Huge congratulations to all Holy Family students on our best ever set of A Level and BTEC results – this is a particularly impressive achievement as recent reforms to A Levels have made it harder for students to achieve the top grades. Students and staff have worked incredibly hard over the last two years and these results reflect the high level of commitment to study that we encourage at Holy Family. We are extremely proud of all their efforts especially as we are a fully comprehensive sixth form, and nearly 90% of our students will be accepting places at university. We wish all students who are leaving us the best for their future careers”.

Special congratulations to the following Yr 13 A Level students:

  • Aarron Westerby A*AA in Maths, Geography & Physics, plus an A in AS Further Maths (UCL, Physics)
  • Kishan Weerasuriya in AAA in Economics, Geography & Maths (Economics, Loughborough)
  • Filip Wojtczak AA in Biology and Psychology and a Distinction* in CTID Sport
  • Emily Nieuwerf A*AB in Art, Psychology and History
  • Simon Attang A*AB in Photography, English Literature & Religious Studies (Film, Middlesex)
  • Kyra Swaby AAB in IT, Media Studies & Psychology (Media & Communications, Birmingham City)
  • Maxwell St Hill AAB in Economics, History & Media Studies (Film, Westminster)

We also had fantastic success with our L3 vocational programmes this year, with 90% of results being classed at either Distinction*, or Distinction level (The equivalent to A* and A grades). Particular congratulations to:
